Magic Memories Preschool and Child Care Center served as a sponsor for the Maternal and Child Health Consortium annual fundraiser held in September. The event, titled A Fall Breakfast to Fuel Change, focused on raising funds to assist families in Chester County with health and support services. Representatives from the center attended the breakfast to learn about the consortium’s efforts in providing resources for maternal and child health.
The sponsorship aligns with the center’s involvement in community initiatives that promote family well-being. Staff members possess credentials, with 64 percent holding a Child Development Associate degree or higher. Teachers work in small groups to address individual developmental needs, including support for potty training that emphasizes hygiene and independence. The center’s approach involves observations to tailor activities to each child’s interests and abilities.
Family engagement includes regular progress reports, two annual parent-teacher conferences, monthly PTA meetings, and two yearly surveys for feedback. Parents collaborate with educators to set goals and monitor milestones. Annual events such as the holiday show, Q&U wedding, talent show, and graduation allow children to display their progress and foster connections among families and staff.
